Breakfast Smoothie

This is largely the same smoothie I’ve been having almost daily for about four years now. So finally remembering to write it all down as it stands today!


  • 500ml water
  • Coffee beans, roasted (x4) [0.75g]
  • Spirulina powder, 1tsp [1.6g]
  • Cocoa powder, low heaped spoon [11.6g]
  • Hemp hearts (protein powder), 1/2 spoon [5.2g]
  • Poppy Seeds, 2/3 spoon [4.5g]
  • Chia seeds (mixed), 2/3 spoon [5.7g]
  • Linseed, 2/3 spoon [5.6g]
  • Sunflower seeds, 2/3 spoon [4.8g]
  • Sesame seeds, 2/3 spoon [5.2g]
  • Oats (rolled / quick cook), 1 spoon [5g]
  • Coconut, 2/3 spoon [4.3g]
  • Cashew nuts (roasted, unsalted), 2/3 spoon [7.7g]
  • Brasil nuts (x2) [8.5g]
  • Walnuts (x2.5) [5.4g]
  • Almonds (roasted, unsalted), 2/3 spoon [7.5g]
  • Pumpkin seeds, 2/3 spoon [5g]
  • Hazelnuts (x5) [6.5g]
  • Dates (x2) [10g]
  • Banana (x1) [70g]

1 spoon = my regular dessert spoon (table spoon)

Blitz in a high power blender for about 20 – 30 seconds until smooth

Also adding often / occasionally:

  • Magnesium tablet (x1) [150mg]
  • Vitamin C tablet (x1) [1,000mg]
  • Fresh baby spinach leaves
  • Garlic cloves, raw & peeled (x2)
  • Linseed oil
  • Avocado oil
